MovinCool ® announced a new, more powerful version of its PC7 portable spot air conditioner. The new model’s cooling capacity of 9,000 Btu/h, an almost 30 percent increase over the previous version, is made possible by a more efficient design, which provides greater airflow over both the evaporator and condenser. The unit operates without a condensate tank, eliminating the need for a drain line or manual emptying of condensate. Environmentally friendly features include the use of non-ozone-depleting R410A refrigerant.

“Our compact PC7 is based on the same spot-cooling concept as our larger systems,” said John Doran, senior manager, Commercial and Industrial Systems. “It’s a convenient, affordable way for our customers with smaller air-conditioning needs, such as small businesses and offices, to get quick cooling relief.”
The PC7 is the smallest of MovinCool’s line of portable spot air conditioners. Its compact size and suggested list price of $595 make it ideal for small businesses and officesthat do not have central air conditioning, or wherever supplemental or emergency cooling is needed.
Like all MovinCool spot air conditioners, the self-contained PC7 requires no refrigerant connections. Installation consists of simply wheeling it into place and plugging it into a standard 110-V outlet. A flexible duct with an easily attachable window adapter vents hot air outside.
