Tylenol Recall 2011

As many parents have noticed, many McNeil products for children still aren't available since last year's Tylenol recall . You can get Children's Tylenol Grape Oral Suspension and Children's and Junior Strength Tylenol Meltaways, but other forms of liquid and chewable Tylenol and Motrin still aren't available.

Children's Zyrtec syrup and Children's Benadryl Allergy

Bubblegum Flavored Liquid Dye Free are also stillunavailable.

Generic versions of acetaminophen (Tylenol), ibuprofen (Motrin), diphenhydramine (Benadryl), and cetirizine (Zytrec) are available from other companies to help treat kids with pain, fever, or allergies. There are also other flavors of Children's

Benadryl Allergy liquid and Advil (another brand name ibuprofen product) available if you need them.

Tylenol Recall 2011

McNeil Consumer Healthcare is now recalling more Tylenol products, which is likely a sign that they are still having problems and why we haven't seen all of their products back on store shelves.

One lot of Tylenol 8 Hour Extended Release Caplets in 150 count bottles (lot number ADM074) has been recalled because of 'a small number of complaints of a musty or moldy odor.'

Since these Tylenol caplets are approved for kids who are at least 12 years old who can swallow pills, parents may have them in their medicine cabinet. If you do, don't usethem and get a refund from McNeil Consumer Healthcare .
In addition, McNeil Consumer Healthcare is 'adding ten lots of other products to a wholesale level recall it initiated in January,' including certain lots of:

*.Tylenol Arthritis Pain Extended Release Geltabs

*.Tylenol 8 Hour Extended Release Caplets

*.Tylenol Sinus Congestion/Pain Daytime/Nighttime

*.Benadryl Allergy Plus Sinus Headache Kapgels

*.Benadryl Allergy Plus Sinus Headache Kapgels

*.Sudafed PE Cold & Cough Coated Caplets

This is a wholesale level recall though, so does 'not require any action by consumers or healthcare providers,' as 'it is very unlikely that the quality of this product is impacted.'
