Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino is suing his father, Frank

We’re quickly learning that the Italians don’t value “famiglia” as much as they claim to.  After last night’s sh**show on The Real Housewives Of New Jersey , we’re a little fatigued.  So when we learned today that Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino is suing his father, Frank, we had to get our bearings.  So much betrayal in the family! At least he’s easing his pain with a little tonsil hockey!


TMZ obtained court documents that state Les Sitch is suing his father for “using his name and likeness” on his site, TheConfrontationSite.com.  The Situation also claims that Frank is trying to damage his “business reputation” with videos and smack talk.  In addition to shutting down the site, The Situation is also seeking “unspecified damages.”

Dear Situation: If you look at your father’s site, you’ll realize that he makes numerous mentions of asking YOU for money.  Ergo, I’m not sure why you’re seeking “unspecified damages” from a gentleman turning tricks for his fifteen minutes (or a new cadillac, at the very least).


It’s business as usual in Florence, as The Situation lassoed a young blond (her parents must be THRILLED) last night.  I’m going to give said girl the benefit of the doubt and assume she speaks no English.

Begin the Family Feud: 'The Real Housewives of New Jersey' Season 3 Premiere

For those of us who have been subsisting off of Mob Wives and news bits about Kim G. and Michael Lohan (oh yes, and it is thoroughly disgusting), The Real Housewives of New Jersey
is finally back for Season 3! Danielle is gone, Kim G. is not a new
Housewife (I bet she's so pissed! She was working hard for the money
last season), and we're meeting two new Housewives.

Will
either of them be likable or are we just going back to thinking that
maybe Jacqueline and Caroline are OK/the least evil? With Danielle
gone, Teresa needs a new enemy. Her sister-in-law, Melissa Gorga,
looks like a likely candidate. Teresa and her brother, Joe don't
exactly get along, either, from what we can tell from their brief
interaction at his son's christening:

Teresa: I just wanted to say congratulations again.
Melissa and Joe: Why are you saying it now?
Joe: Just walk away. Go.
Teresa: Are you kidding me?
Joe: Teresa, just do what you do every day. Just walk away.
Teresa: Are you kidding me.
Joe: You're garbage.

Feel
the love! Table antics run in the family, though! Joe pounds on the
table and lunges toward Teresa. Then we get a title screen that says
"One Week Earlier ..." Oh I love that. It's like Damages!

So,
one week earlier, things are going just OK for Joe and Teresa. Joe is
"enjoying his new career at Giuseppe's Pizzeria" because they had that
whole bankruptcy thing happen. Teresa is writing cookbooks and signing
them to support their penchant for extravagant children's wear.

This
show is all about Teresa. Can we just acknowledge that already? It used
to sort of be about Danielle and Teresa, but now it's all Teresa all
the time. Things are going fine for Jacqueline and the Manzo family.
Albie's moving out and moving forward. Law school didn't work out.
Ashley has an internship at a PR firm. She's already whining and crying
about it.

Premier of 'The Real Housewives of New Jersey'

You can pick your friends, but you can’t pick your family.
That saying rings truer than ever on the premiere of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey.” In the first five minutes of the show, viewers will witness a vicious fight at The Manor, a reception hall in West Orange. The fight is not between two women, as is usually the case on this shriekfest, but between a brother and a sister. At a family christening. Histrionic “Housewife” Teresa Giudice comes over to the table where her brother, Joe
Gorga, is sitting with his wife, Melissa, and their friends. Before she can utter the word “Congratulations,” Joe, who is two years younger, lashes out at her, calling her “garbage.” A stunned Teresa tries to find out what’s wrong but Joe pounds the table and all of a sudden, it’s a free-for-all. The men are up, shoving each other. The women are braying at each other behind them.
Did we mention this takes place at the christening of the Gordas’ newborn, Joey?
“I was screaming at the cameras to get out of my son’s christening,” says Melissa, who insists there were no retakes for the sake of the production. “I didn’t sleep for three days. I was devastated.”
The “Housewives” franchise thrives on brawls of this kind, slugfests that bring out the worst in everyone, whether they are related or barely know each other. Who can forget the end of season one when Teresa upended a table at another formal occasion and called “Housewife” Danielle Staub a “prostitution whore.”
When Melissa Gorga, one of two new “Housewives” this season, watched that moment on the television in her own home, she says, “My husband and I were both gasping for air.” She told her husband, “Now the whole world is going to think you’re crazy as she is. He said, ‘Unbelievable. I can’t believe I have to go work tomorrow.’”
The Gorgas, who live in a 15,000 square ft. home in Montville, were not so mortified by Teresa’shistrionics that they turned down the chance to join the show. After all, what better platform for Melissa to launch her career as a singer? “You’re going to see my journey to stardom,” she says. (Let’s hope she sounds better that New York “Housewife” Countess LuAnn de Lesseps, whose single “Money Can’t Buy You Class” was unspeakably dreadful.)
In the scenario for this season in New Jersey, which was taped lastfall, it looks like Melissa and Teresa are the enemies.
“Melissa is my sister-in-law and we’re not exactly best friends,” Teresa hints ominously to the camera.
Says Melissa of her sister-in-law in the first episode, “That bitch will never miss a party, especially if someone else is paying for it.”
Since the “Housewife” franchise rewards greater camera time to the women who are the most outrageous, Melissa has a shot atbecoming this season’s breakout star. With statements like “I was always told: be a wife is a cook inthe kitchen, a lady in the parlor and a whore in the bedroom,” she can certainly shock Bravo’s target viewer.
She has an ally in her husband’s first cousin, Kathy Wakile, who lives in Wayne, NJ, with her husband, Rich, and their two teenaged children. “I’m very friendly with Kathy,” Melissa says.“We just clicked. She’s a little older than me. I tend to call her for advice.”
While Melissa declares to the camera, “I tend to be very spoiled,” Kathy doesn’t self-anoint. In fact, she seems normal: she rides her bike to do grocery shopping and asks her 15-year old son, Joseph, when she finds him playing with knivesin his bedroom, “Why can’t you collect stamps?”
Kathy believes the bitterness between Teresa and Joe goes way back. “It’s about not communicating what you’re trulyfeeling when you put those emotions away and you don’t discuss them,” she says.
Even with all the drama in the first episode, Kathy defends her family. “We’re very passionate people. We love. We cry. We feel sorry. We get angry,” she says.
And sometimes the “Housewives” get in trouble. The new season addresses the Giudices’ filing for bankruptcy (Joe Giudice’s subsequent arrest in March 2011 for fraudulently trying to obtain a state driver’s license happened after production was completed). Still, with an eye to branding herself like Bethenny Frankel, Teresa manages to crank out a cookbook of old family recipes while Joe works in a pizzeria.
Fellow “Housewife” Caroline Manzo deals with empty nest syndrome as her two sons, Albertand Christopher, lease an apartment in Hoboken. Jacqueline Laurita, the fifth housewife, has minor parental issues with her daughter Ashley Holmes, an intern for publicist Lizzie Grubman who wants to liveon her own.
If they want more camera time, they’d better start fighting — preferably with each other.
Out with the old
Danielle Staub
Staub’s departure was announced at the end of last season. The most toxic of the “Housewives,” Staub spent her time fighting with everyone, especially Teresa Giudice.
Dina Manzo
The younger sister of “Housewife” Caroline Manzo, Dinaopted to leave the show last season rather than deal with Danielle Staub.
In with the new
Melissa Gorga
Melissa is the sister-in-law of “Housewife” Teresa; she’s married to Teresa’s brother, Joe. The Gorgas live in Montville, NJ, and have three kids: Antonia, 5, Gino, 3, and Joey, 11 months.
Kathy Wakile
Kathy is the first cousin of “Housewife” Teresa Giudice and Joe Gorga. She and her husband, Rich, live in Wayne, NJ with their children, Victoria, 17, and Joseph,15.

'The Real Housewives of New Jersey' Are Back!

Monday night, May 16th, "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" premières Season 3 in a 90-minute episode that is sure to please. Returning housewivesare Teresa Guidice, Caroline Manzo, and Caroline's sister-in-law Jacqueline Laurita. Joiningthe cast and sure to add to the drama are; Melissa Gorga, Teresa's sister-in-law, and Kathy Wakile, Teresa's first cousin. Missing is Danielle Staub and all the drama that she caused between the Manzo and Guidice clans.


Recapping "The Real Housewivesof New Jersey" for those who arenot familiar with these Jersey Girls:
Caroline is the matriarch of the Manzo family who have owned the Brownstone, a well-known facility that caters to weddings and events in Northern New Jersey for over thirty years. She isa supporter of several charities and will be introducing her fashion accessory line in the fall of 2011.


Teresa is no stranger to drama and in addition to running a fantastic mansion of a home with four adorable girls, she refuses to have a nanny, housekeeper or bookkeeper helpher with her daily tasks. Last season her husband had a run-inwith the law and her financial situation was made public. She is the author of a cookbook and is soon to publish her second cookbook devoted to Italian cuisine.


Jacqueline is married to Caroline's brother, Chris. She wasa cosmetologist from Las Vegas, previously married and mother to Ashley who is 20 from the prior marriage. She and Chris have been married over ten years and are parents to CJ who is eight and two-year old Nicholas. Ashley had legal problems stemming from a hair-pulling altercation with Danielle Staub last season.


The two new housewives will surely be a welcome addition as the fans get to know their deep dark secrets, so stay tuned to Bravo!
